Clogged P-trap
A clogged P-trap is one thing that could cause your sink to leak. The P-Trap is a little curved pipe under your sink. Its major purpose is to prevent sewer gases from coming up through the drain to emit a pungent smell. However, pieces of food, soap scum, hair, and other debris can clog the P-trap. When this happens, water backs up and leaks out of the sink.
You can try unclogging the P-trap with a plumbing snake or a plunger. But it is preferable to call a plumber to handle the issue. Just make sure that you clean the P-trap periodically. Doing so will prevent clogs and leaks in the future.
